Our pugs consistently have had varied ailments. I have hoped and hoped that each vet-visit would at least help us in the future, that we could say "we know what to do!" and save ourselves a vet bill. For a while there they were all about being individual in their sickness and injuries. At last, Sophie has had our first recurrence!
Here I am pointing to it. It's a little hard to see from far away- this one isn't at bad as the one she had before. Sophie's first hot spot happened pre-blog, on her shoulder. We are lucky that we caught this one early, and still had leftover medication left. Hot spots aren't a huge deal- our own neighbor treats his dog's hot spots with just plain alcohol to dry them up. Knowing what we're dealing with = no vet bill!
There's a close up of the hot spot. I noticed it because they sort of swell and ooze, and her leg looked wet.
The other pugs gave Sophie a choo-choo-train of sympathy. Harles has apparently gotten over his sitters' barbaric acts yesterday!

That is a great photo at the end. We know what you mean about pug recurring pug illnesses. Lucky and I never do the same thing twice. It bums mom out totally.
