Want Some Cheese With That Whine???

Sophie was right, us "humans" went to a wine fest yesterday! It was QUITE muddy but that meant less people, which meant more wine for US!

We went with some friends and had a blast. We went last year as well, and discovered a great winery near Brian's Mom's house, Grape Inspirations. They have amazing fruit flavors, and also two fantastic ice wines. I also really enjoyed Oliver Winery, which is near IU. Brian had been there while in college and we both like their soft white and soft rose.

We have been enjoying those wineries for the past year. This year, we discovered some new wines! The first are from Winzerwald Winery.

We got Schweizer Spice, which is compared to "pumpkin pie in a glass!" It tasted like a deliciously spiced Riesling. Speaking of which, we also got their Riesling, which was the perfect amount of sweet. The third wine we got at Winzerwald was Cherry Red, one of their gold-medal winners! We could have bought every wine we sampled there... I really liked them!

We also got a wine from Brown County Winery, the Cranberry Apple wine. It was great, fruity and zesty, but mild and drinkable... very very nice!

I think the pugs are jealous of our purchases... sorry, we can't share!!!

Yum! And we're sweet wine people too! I love Riesling. The wine festival sounds fun. I wish we had more wineries in MN.

Oh! It looks like your mom and dad had a fun time!! (Too bad you couldn't go with them.) Mom says she will look around at the wine store to see if they sell any of those wines your parents sampled...
Love Clover xo
